Every animal deserves appropriate care, a safe environment, and the opportunity to thrive.

At King Animal Encounters, we occasionally welcome animals that have been surrendered by previous owners and need a new home. While some arrive ready to settle in, others require immediate improvements to their care, including upgraded enclosures, proper heating and lighting, fresh substrate, specialized diets, veterinary care, or other species-specific needs.

Your support helps us provide these animals with the care they deserve while also supporting the ongoing needs of all our animal ambassadors.

Your Support Helps Provide

Contributions to our animal ambassador program help with:

• Safe, species-appropriate habitats
  Enclosures, habitat upgrades, substrate, hides, climbing structures, plants, and other furnishings.

• Proper heating and lighting
  Heat sources, thermostats, UVB lighting, replacement bulbs, and equipment needed to maintain healthy environments.

• Quality nutrition
  Fresh produce, insects, supplements, and other species-appropriate foods for our diverse group of animals.

• Enrichment and ongoing care
  Supplies and enrichment that encourage natural behaviors and help keep our ambassadors healthy and comfortable.

• Veterinary care
  Routine and unexpected veterinary needs when one of our animals requires professional care.

• Care for surrendered animals
  Supplies and habitat improvements that allow us to give appropriate care to animals welcomed into our program.

Giving Animals a New Beginning

Some of our animal ambassadors come to us through owners who can no longer provide for them. When we are able to accept an animal, our first priority is making sure its individual needs are met.

Sometimes that means simply providing a new home. Other times, it means replacing an inadequate enclosure, correcting heating or lighting, improving nutrition, or addressing other care needs.

With proper care and plenty of time to settle in, some of these animals may eventually become ambassadors themselves, helping children learn about their species while inspiring greater respect for animals and the natural world.

Supporting Education Through Animal Encounters

Our animal ambassadors are at the heart of what we do.

Through hands-on encounters and standards-aligned educational programs, they help students explore habitats, adaptations, ecosystems, animal needs, responsible animal care, and the incredible diversity of the natural world.

Supporting their care allows us to continue creating meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, responsible animal stewardship, and a lifelong appreciation for wildlife.
